ODNR- Division of Wildlife is looking for volunteers to run bat acoustic surveys in Wood County.
The route is 30-miles long and will need to be run 3 times (nights) in July. Their hopes are that these routes will be run annually for several years to evaluate trends in bat populations throughout Ohio.
They have equipment and can provide training on the equipment and further details on the survey protocol.
They will be training folks on June 24 (morning), 25, and 27, and July 1 and 2.
If you are interested please contact Jeff Burris-- jeff.burris@dnr.state.oh.us
